I am excited to share these photographs with you all. As a family photographer, is easy to forget photographing those in your own life. Especially your friends and their own families! We've known Phil and Heather for about 8 years now and they have become pretty much family. Even after moving out of Massachusetts almost 4 years ago, and being far, this has remained true. Taking these pictures was also pretty special because these two have waited years for something like this. These boys are the sweetest things with their own little personalities. I feel especially special because the oldest was adamant about me being the only one allowed to put his shoes on before we went outside for these. It went straight to Auntie Krystal's heart.
Despite the rainy morning, we ventured out into those Greater Hudson Valley NY woods and photographed away!
I love the photograph of Heather with her boys. Such pride and joy. Such a natural mama. Later on, after our session, she was sitting in one of our lounge chairs and had one in her lap and another behind her holding onto the back of the chair. I remember mentioning, "looks like you have some interesting bubble space there,"and chuckled. She was like, "ya, it pretty much doesn't exist," and smiled.
In the photograph on the right here, I managed to get everyone looking by balancing a train on my head. That yoga comes in handy! Of course that lasted for about 30 seconds.
My buddy. My pal. He specifically wanted me to photograph him blowing bubbles. Thanks to those tree stumps I could oblige with a good distance. Haha.
This one is probably my favorite.
After the boys were finished, we had a moment to capture these two by themselves. Twelve years and going strong! I think that it is pretty darn awesome for couples to take time to be captured after they become parents or have been together for a while. Wedding days are beautiful, but there is something so rich, and true about long lasting love.
