Maroon Bells - Aspen, CO
This post is a continuation of a trip I took out to see my brother and his family. Hope you enjoy! So after we got to see The Great Sand Dunes National Park, we headed off to Aspen, CO to check out the Maroon Bells. It was much colder up there since our camp site was tucked into the mountains, but it was so good to still be out in the fresh air and nature.
Michelle making us egg sandwiches. She doesn't mess around. Bagels toasting for those sandwiches!
Some left over color.
Little O! He wanted to wander so bad.
So after breakfast and packing up the car, we drove up to the Maroon Bells for a little hike. For me it was a lot because of the altitude but I did alright. Even though the trees had lost their leaves, it was still beautiful out.
The bark on these aspens were so pretty. I couldn't even capture it right.
Someone fell asleep on the trail. I felt like that somewhat. Haha.
A beautiful little spot on the trail.
As you can see the lake is all dried up, but still a wonderful view.
So glad I got to spend time with these two and my brother. I am definitely wanting to do more hiking in the near future.
