Coming to Yosemite National Park in CA again was such a wonderful highlight of our trip. We ended up staying two hours outside the park, but still came to visit a second day. These are a few of the popular spots in and around the valley that we enjoy. I would love to go back for a whole week and camp out. I want to see Mono Lake especially.

Six years ago, Chris and I came through Redwoods National & State Parks, CA during our honeymoon trip. It was one of my favorite experiences from the whole trip and I wanted to return so that I could, again, experience the majestic beauty that I haven’t found anywhere else yet.

Visiting Crater Lake National Park is one of those places that really challenges your perspective of space and distance. Before arriving, everything is pretty desolate and so upon coming to the edge you are immediately put in awe. Such a deep blue! And HUGE. I couldn’t really figure out how big it was until I saw a power boat the first time we came (this was our second). We barely made it in time before dark and so the lighting was full of contrast and drama. We parked at the visitor center, so if you ever wish to see these views you’ll know where to go!

This post is a continuation of a trip I took out to see my brother and his family. Hope you enjoy! So after we got to see The Great Sand Dunes National Park, we headed off to Aspen, CO to check out the Maroon Bells. It was much colder up there since our camp site was tucked into the mountains, but it was so good to still be out in the fresh air and nature.

Ok, so while I was out in Colorado visiting family I got to do a little traveling over the weekend that I was there. I love visiting national parks and so I was able to check another one off my list while there. We arrived after dark so I didn't get to see the Great Sand Dunes till morning.

Just wanted to check in quickly and share some photos I took this morning while taking a hike with my brother up the Flatirons in Boulder, CO. I am out here in Colorado visiting him and his family. He planned to climb up a steep face with some friends and I decided to take the trail around to meet up. Me and heights aren't close buddies.

While living down here near Philadelphia, Chris and I have gotten to know a lot of new friends. Two such people are Emily and Justin. They are new to the area as well and so we decided to check out a few things in the city just to get out of the house during the winter months. One such place is near the river and has an event called Winterfest around Christmas time. When we went to check it out the weather was actually pretty warm. Here we are making fools of ourselves.

So, while Chris and I were out in Colorado, my brother and his wife took me us out to see Rocky Mountain National Park despite the winter. Down in the valley of Denver, the temperature was in the 70s, but up in the mountains it was a bit cold. Still we saw some real beauty! I did alright in the altitude here, which I was happy about. I just thought I would share with you some of the beauty we got to see. It will make you want to visit. :) This here is a picture of a frozen lake.

I like old stuff. It survives in a modern culture and still remains classic. Old cities are a favorite as well. In roaming around Philadelphia the Old Town is probably my favorite section. It reminds me of Boston probably. It is fun to think you have walked where your forefathers walked. The struggles they went through to give you the opportunity to enjoy the day as it is. Freedom comes at a cost and I am appreciative.

In October Chris and I went into Boston for just the randomness and happened upon the Battle of the Bands in Harvard Square. It was crazy, loud, and packed! These people were really getting into this dude's song apparently.

I can't believe it's already December! Thankfully there have a been a few days where it is warmer than usual. Yesterday was one of those days. I went with Chris and his parents into the center city of Philly just to check out the Reading Terminal Market. Most of the time was spent scoping out different foods and just seeing what it was like.

A few weeks ago, Chris and I happened upon this town that wasn't like any other town we have seen so far here in Pennsylvania. I was determined to come back and get some pictures of the detailed doorways and stone work. Well, one cold November day I decided to do just that. I am apprehensive about getting pictures of buildings. Always have been, but I wanted to give it a try because these buildings were just that amazing.
