Redwood National & State Parks, CA
Six years ago, Chris and I came through Redwoods National & State Parks, CA during our honeymoon trip. It was one of my favorite experiences from the whole trip and I wanted to return so that I could, again, experience the majestic beauty that I haven’t found anywhere else yet. I wondered how this experience would be, seeing the Redwoods for the second time. Would I be less enthused? I was happily surprised at how it still just caught me in awe. Everything is so massive and I still could not, second time around, even capture what I felt in those woods.
We came with some friends, Jay and Suellen, and it was fun to see their reaction to how massive everything was. I hope these pictures give you a taste for what it was like. We went on the scenic route through the middle of the forest this time and stopped at Lady Bird Johnson Trail once again. It was extremely foggy so it was pretty impossible to photograph the tops of the trees or catch any more rays of light.
To finish things off, we were pleasantly surprised to find a herd of elk before leaving the park!
