The 228 in Sterling Wedding | Sterling, MA
A few months ago I received a message from April letting me know that she was getting married! It was exciting to see the day finally arrive with only a few light showers, but with a whole lot of love and warmth while celebrating April and Brian’s love during the ceremony in Lancaster and then continuing with a reception in The 228 in Sterling. I loved trying to find those early blooms of spring to incorporate them into the day. I’ve never seen a more relaxed bride and it was a pleasure to follow her throughout the day documenting these new special memories.
Venue: The 228 in Sterling

Such a beautiful dress and so light! I had a little help, thank goodness, hanging it in the tree. But it still made it so much easier to work with and it’s elegance didn’t need much convincing on my part. Such a perfect look for April.
This ring is one of three that April’s mother purchased for her and April and her sister to wear the day of the wedding. Something to share during this special time, commemorating their Columbian heritage. Such an awesome little detail.
This sweet little flower girl made me work! The isle is very long and, of course like any little girl would do, she started dumping those flowers immediately at the back of the church. I dashed back and there and was able to capture images of her doing her job. So adorable!
April wanted to make sure there was an image of Brian seeing her walk down the isle. We all know why now. Such emotion and happiness!
I discovered throughout the day that April really likes to make meaningful moments. This was the highlight for sure and it was awesome to catch Brian’s reaction to her surprise. A while back his guitar had been pretty much destroyed and without his knowledge, she had it repaired by a good friend (our high school history teacher, just a tidbit) restore it to its new beauty.
STUNN-ING! This is probably my favorite image from our quick moment capturing photos of April and Brian together after the ceremony.
I loved how simple and elegant the decor was at the reception. So beautiful and definitely reflective of the style April was going for. The venue was perfect for an intimate gathering with close friends and family. Even with an overcast day the atmosphere was warm and cheerful.
My favorite, CAKE! Such a beautiful one at that.
Such fun, relaxation, and time together.
A little entertainment! These ladies worked hard and it was fun to watch. They also had the bride and groom joining in at the end for a quick, fun lesson.
The rest of the evening was spent together, enjoying more music, toasts, and eating.
Congratulations you two! It was a pleasure working with you and celebrating such a wonderful time in your life. Many blessings to you!
